BOWMOOR SAILING CLUB

We were requested to provide a foundation scheme for the new club-house and boat-house for the sailing club.

The site is an excavated gravel pit and the area of the new build has approximately 2m depth of filled ground. The new building had to be built on piled foundations and a reinforced concrete slab was designed.

The club approached the boat-house as a self-build project. After the pre-cast driven piles were installed a simple reinforced concrete flat slab was designed to allow the use of “unskilled” labour.
